Maria da Graça Carvalho held a meeting with Mr Nobuhiko Tanaka, First Secretary for Energy, Chemistry, IT and Industry at the Japanese Mission to the EU.
During the meeting there was an exchange of views about the EP discussions on the COM communication: "Engaging in energy policy cooperation with partners beyond our borders: A strategic approach to secure, sustainable and competitive energy supply."
They also discussed the technology cooperation and energy security cooperation between the EU and Japan.
