Maria da Graça Carvalho participated in the opening ceremony of the exhibition entitled "Tomorrow starts with Chemistry", organized by the DG ENTR, within the 2011 - International Year of Chemistry initiative launched by UNESCO and IUPAC.
The opening ceremony counted with the presence of Vice-President Tajani, Mr. Giorgio Squinzi, President of the European Chemical Industry Council (Cefic) and Prof. Ulrich Schubert, elected President of the European Association for Chemical and Molecular Sciences (EuCheMS).
The exhibition will take place in the Berlaymont's piazza, from September 5th to 8th, 2011 and intends to show the fundamental role of chemistry in our everyday's life, leading the visitors through an exciting all-sense tour.
